If you will need free transportation to and/or from the Eastern Iowa airport (CID) or the Iowa City bus depot, please fill out our Travel Information form at least two weeks in advance of the camp start date and fax to: 319-335-7970, email to: sportcamps@hawkeyesports.com, or mail to: Iowa Sports Camps office, 203 Field House, Iowa City, IA 52242-1111.
When you arrive at the airport (it's a fairly small airport), please proceed to the baggage area and there will be a counselor there to meet you.
If you are attending the Wrestling Team Camp at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA, check-in will be held in the Small Sports Center main lobby. For driving directions to check-in (located at 600 1st St. W), click here.

From the east, from Interstate 80: Exit 242 and go south on 1 st Avenue through Coralville to Highway 6 (4 th stoplight). Turn left and continue straight on Highway 6 until you reach Grand Ave. (5 th stoplight). The street is Grand Avenue to your right and Burlington Street to your left. Go right on Grand Avenue, and the Hillcrest/Rienow parking lot is off the first street to your right, Byington Road.
From the west, north and south, from Interstate 380 and US Highway 218: Take Highway 218 south from the I-380 and US 218 interchange. Exit on the Melrose Avenue exit (Exit 93), and turn east, staying on Melrose as it goes left near the hospitals, dorms, Field House, and law building. As the street bends right, go straight instead across Grand Avenue. You are now on Byington Road, which takes you to Hillcrest and Rienow.
There are parking meters between Rienow and Hillcrest, or north of Rienow.
MPORTANT NOTE FOR SOFTBALL CAMP: Due to the threat of flooding at the Hawkeye Softball Complex, the Iowa Softball Camp is being relocated to the Upper Finkbine Turf Field (former Grant Field), located next to Duane Banks Baseball Field. Registration will take place at the front gate to Banks Field on Tuesday, June 10 from 8:00-9:00 a.m.
DIRECTIONS TO UPPER FINKBINE TURF FIELD: At the Interstate 80-Interstate 380-Highway 218 interchange, take Highway 218 south. Follow Highway 218 South to the Melrose Ave exit (Exit 93). Go east on Melrose Avenue to Hawkins Drive. Take a left onto Hawkins Drive, and take a left at the second stoplight, Stadium Drive, which is located on the north end of Kinnick Stadium. Follow Stadium Drive around the Recreation Building, and you will see Duane Banks Field, where registration will be on Tuesday morning. |
